Season 7 Fandom

Several different factors drew audiences to the show; One of them is simply that the show premiered at the right place and at the right time. The long-standing NBC drama "E.R." (1994) was renewed for yet another season, but it was still a year before the introduction of "Grey's Anatomy" (2005) on ABC, so viewers were eager to welcome this fresh take on a medical drama. When House discovers that the experimental drug he has been using causes fatal tumors, he decides to excise them himself. He attempts to do it in his bathtub but fails and calls around for help, with Cuddy being the only one to respond. Meanwhile, Thirteen's friend from prison (Amy Landecker), a relapsed drug user, arrives at her apartment needing medical care after being stabbed.

Early life

In addition, Rachel announces that she wants to move to Seattle with her new boyfriend Phil and take Sophia with them. The team treats a variety of ear-related disorders such as Meniere’s disease, acoustic neuromas, skull-base tumors, neurofibromatosis, and other complex neurological and neurosurgical disorders. The House Institute is the preeminent center for the treatment of ear disease and neurological disorders. For more than 60 years, the House Institute’s neurotologists and neurosurgeons have led the way in treating the causes of hearing, balance and skull-base disorders with cutting-edge practices and procedures.

Season 2 (2005–

House was among the top 10 series in the United States from its second through fourth seasons. Distributed to 71 countries, it was the most-watched TV program in the world in 2008.[3] It received numerous awards, including five Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, a Peabody Award, and nine People's Choice Awards. On February 8, 2012, Fox announced that the eighth season, then in progress, would be its last.[4] The series finale aired on May 21, 2012, following an hour-long retrospective. In Let Them Eat Cake, Thirteen reveals to Foreman her guilt about hating her mother when her mom was dying. They eventually wind up in a relationship, with Foreman moving into Thirteen's apartment. He also got her into the clinical trial for the Huntington's medication he was testing.

House season 5

It also marks the only appearance of Foreman's mother Alicia Foreman. Allison Cameron looks at her poor social life and decides to fill the hole in her sex life with Robert Chase. She demands a "no strings attached" relationship, and everyone predicts that Chase will dump her at some point, leaving the vulnerable Cameron heartbroken. When he professes he wants a deeper relationship, Cameron cuts off the sex. House and the team are given the challenging case of a ballerina (Jamie Tisdale) whose lungs collapse during a rehearsal. After first facing the prospect of never dancing again, the ballerina's future seems even more grim when the treatment causes her skin to fall off.

Episode Lists

Foreman asks if Thirteen was also taking drugs, but she refuses to answer. Taub reports that the patient had eye hemorrhaging two years ago. Kutner thinks that blood clots could explain everything, but Thirteen dismisses Spencer as a hypochondriac. During this season, some Thirteen's personal information is revealed.

As a result of his sudden departure, his character, Lawrence Kutner was killed off. House and the team take on the case of a woman (Judith Scott) who collapsed in the middle of a cooking class. When they learn that the patient gave up her career as a highly renowned cancer researcher in order to pursue her own personal happiness, the members of the team question their own happiness (or lack thereof). Meanwhile, Thirteen begins to suffer serious and life-threatening reactions to her experimental Huntington's disease clinical drug trial, and Cuddy retaliates against House and gives him a taste of his own medicine.

In its first season, House ranked twenty-fourth among all television series and was the ninth most popular primetime program among women. Aided by a lead-in from the widely popular American Idol, the following three seasons of the program each ranked in the top ten among all viewers. House reached its peak Nielsen ratings in its third season, attracting an average of 19.4 million viewers per episode. According to Jacobs, the production team was surprised that the show garnered such a large audience.

House's phone is taken by a cop mid-diagnosis and the team must decipher House's last statement. Meanwhile, the story of how House and Wilson met for the first time is revealed. A painter's (Breckin Meyer) undiagnosed illness begins to affect his work, but he is unable to see his art is suddenly grotesque. He is brought to Princeton-Plainsboro Hospital, though he claims that he is getting better. House grows suspicious when he learns that the painter was fearful of a test involving the injection of a dye.

At a cathartic dinner, House reveals his immigration wife (which Bell supports given the U.S. immigration system) and his stint in prison (which his mother knew about from reading the Princeton newspapers). She also admits she and Bell got married shortly after John House died. House finally confronts her about Bell, and she admits she deceived both of them. However, Wilson is too tempted and tests Bell's DNA - he's not House's biological father either. A popular U.S. senator (Joe Morton) and presidential candidate succumbs to illness at a fundraiser and Vogler assigns House to his case.

On February 8, 2012, Fox announced that the eighth season, then in progress, would be its last. The series finale aired on May 21, 2012, following a hour-long retrospective. Cuddy's strategy is to force House to the bargaining table with her mother. Thirteen explains to the patient that it will only be for a few minutes until Cuddy folds. However, the patient sees an attractive woman and tells his limo driver and the doctors to shut up.

The Department of Public Hospitals will be there in 20 minutes. When the assistant leaves, Thirteen admits the likely diagnoses are hepatitis and peptic ulcer disease. He tells her that he supports her choice to try the new treatment. The patient shows a new symptom - partial deafness in his right ear. Thirteen is obviously suffering from the drugs she's taken before, but takes the needle from House and injects herself.

House plans on using him to break into patients' homes to look for diagnostic clues. Foreman joins the two fellows on staff, Robert Chase, the longest serving (and suffering) fellow, a rich kid whose dad appears to have gotten him this job, and Allison Cameron, who apparently got her job because of her looks. House prefers to be addressed as "House" by everyone and is rarely addressed as "Greg". The only people he doesn't object to addressing him as "Greg" are Stacy Warner and his parents. He usually takes being addressed as "Greg" as a sign that the individual is being overly familiar and he often goes out of his way to hint that it takes more than calling him by his first name to strike up a friendship with him. Dr. Marty Hamilton tried to get on House's good side by addressing him as "Greg" in DNR only to have House pause and carefully emphasize "Marty" in return.

Meanwhile, House must survive a dinner with Cuddy's mother (Candice Bergen), and Taub comes to terms with his marriage after he is featured in an ad for the hospital. House must battle disease as well as belief when his patient (Kuno Becker) gets sick after crucifying himself as part of a bargain with God to keep his daughter cancer-free. But when this bargain causes him to refuse treatment, House must devise a new tactic. Meanwhile, Taub sees the other side of indiscretion, and Wilson and Sam's relationship changes. Brilliant medical student Martha M. Masters (Amber Tamblyn) joins the team at Cuddy's insistence, and her first case is treating a campaign manager (Jack Coleman) who falls ill with a rash, leading to liver failure.

After being incarcerated following the events of "Moving On", House is released on probation thanks to Foreman, who has taken Cuddy's place as the Dean of Medicine. House is initially assigned a single team member, Dr. Chi Park (Charlyne Yi). After securing funding for his department in the season eight episode "Risky Business", House brings on former prison doctor Jessica Adams (Odette Annable) and rehires Chase and Taub. As House and Cuddy's relationship progresses, they have clashes at work, including trying to keep the ER and ICU open.
